UVO3 Sanitizing Mat

The UVO3 Shoe Station delivers fast, proven footwear sanitation at every barn entry point — stopping pathogens before they reach your animals. Designed for commercial swine and poultry operations, the UVO3 combines germicidal UV light and ozone technology in a single unit that sanitizes footwear in 8 seconds with no liquid chemicals and no additional staff required. Plug it in, step on it, and your biosecurity protocol is working.

Technology

How UV + Ozone Sanitation Works

The UVO3 Shoe Station uses a two-layer disinfection approach that outperforms either technology alone. Germicidal UV-C light penetrates pathogen cells and disrupts their DNA, preventing reproduction. Ozone (O3) simultaneously oxidizes surface contamination — attacking viral proteins and bacterial cell walls on contact. The result is a 3–5 log reduction in pathogen load in a single 8-second step.

This combination is on average 110 times more powerful than UV-C alone — which is why the UVO3 achieves 99.999% inactivation of PRRSv and PEDv, two of the most economically damaging viruses in US swine production.

UV-C Germicidal Light

Short-wavelength UV-C light (200–280nm) penetrates pathogen cell walls and damages nucleic acids — preventing replication. Effective against viruses, bacteria, mold, and spores on footwear surfaces.

Ozone (O3) Oxidation

Ozone is generated in-unit and attacks organic contamination on contact — breaking down proteins in viral envelopes and bacterial cell membranes. Decomposes safely back to oxygen with no chemical residue.

8-Second Cycle

Step on, wait 8 seconds, step off. The full UV + ozone cycle completes automatically with no activation required. Fast enough to fit any entry protocol without adding time to barn access.

No Liquids. No Chemicals.

Unlike traditional boot baths, the UVO3 uses no disinfectant solutions — no mixing, no concentration monitoring, no wet floors, no chemical disposal. Plug in, switch on, walk through.

Farm Applications

Designed for Swine and Poultry Operations

Footwear is one of the most common vectors for disease introduction onto livestock facilities. A single contaminated boot sole can carry viable virus from a truck cab, a neighboring farm, or a processing facility directly into your barn. The UVO3 Shoe Station closes that entry point at every doorway — without slowing down your crew or requiring chemical management.

🐖

Swine Operations

Sow farms, nursery sites, finisher barns. Critical at entry to gilt developer units and farrowing rooms where PRRSv and PEDv exposure risk is highest.

🐔

Poultry Operations

Broiler houses, turkey barns, layer facilities. Deploy at entry doors and between-house transfers. A key layer in HPAI biosecurity protocols.

🚪

Entry Points

Barn doors, load-out areas, feed rooms, veterinary access points, and office-to-barn transitions. Anywhere footwear crosses between clean and dirty zones.

Comparison

UVO3 vs Traditional Boot Bath

Boot baths have been the standard footwear sanitation method for decades — but they require active management to stay effective. An improperly maintained boot bath can give producers a false sense of security while providing minimal actual pathogen reduction. The UVO3 eliminates that variable entirely.

Traditional Boot Bath

  • Requires chemical mixing and concentration monitoring
  • Loses efficacy as organic load builds
  • Needs regular emptying and refilling
  • Wet floors create slip hazards and corrosion
  • Chemical procurement and disposal costs
  • Efficacy depends entirely on staff compliance

UVO3 Shoe Station

  • No chemicals — UV + ozone only
  • Consistent efficacy — not affected by organic load
  • Plug in and leave running — no maintenance routine
  • Dry operation — no wet floors or corrosion risk
  • No chemical costs or disposal requirements
  • Works automatically — no staff action required
